How to choose hair extensions
Choosing extensions is four decisions: method, weight, length and shade. Because every AVRÉE set is customised and made to order over 2–3 weeks, these choices are confirmed before production begins — so it is worth taking them slowly. This guide is written by our team, who fit hair extensions in Marbella and ship across the EU.
1. Choose the method
The attachment method determines comfort, how often you visit the salon and how the hair sits against your scalp.
- Invisible Tape — our finest, ultra-thin panels, supplied ready to install. Sold in 150 g sets (30 sandwiches). The flattest, most undetectable result.
- Classic Tape-In — professional adhesive already applied. 50 g equals 10 sandwiches (20 pieces). Fast to install, easy to move up.
- Genius Weft — the finest, most invisible weft made, cuttable without unravelling. Offered in 50 g bundles.
- Bulk Hair — loose and unwefted, for wigs, fusion and custom couture work.
2. Choose the weight
Weight controls density, not length. As a rule of thumb: 50 g adds discreet volume or covers a partial head; 100–150 g gives a full transformation on medium hair; very fine or very thick hair should be assessed by a stylist. Our standard minimum is 50 g, and Invisible Tape starts at 150 g.
3. Choose the length
Available lengths are 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60 and 65 cm, measured from the top of the attachment to the tip. Extensions are always blended and cut into your own hair, so choose slightly longer rather than shorter if you are between two sizes.
4. Confirm the shade
Screens lie. Every monitor renders warmth and depth differently, which is why we never recommend choosing a shade from photographs alone. Order the physical Colour Ring, or book a fitting with our Marbella ambassador who carries one.
